A Little About Me

I love to knit and crochet.  My grandma taught me to crochet when I was around 7.  Actually she was supposed to teach me to sew, but she didn’t care for sewing and went on to crochet.  I loved it ever since.

My first real project was a yellow crochet bag that kept all my other crochet projects.  I made that when I was in first grade.  That bag went everywhere with me.

I learned to knit more on my own.  Grandma gave me 2 wooden needles size #3.  Wooden needles were a big mistake because I had the tips chewed off.  I played around with them besides knitting.

Now I teach both my daughters to crochet and knit.  My son actually knows how to crochet, but he doesn’t really get into it as much as the girls.  They have taken to making scarves.

I have gotten into spinning and I love, love, love it.  It is such a joy.  I enjoy the feeling of being completely resourceful and able to make yarn on my own.  The next step is getting my own sheep.  We will see. =)

Many Blessings,
